“Wahe Guru, Whaa‑hay Guroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru, Whaa‑hay Guroo Ji Ki Fateh”
I am grateful to be a Sikh I am grateful to those who made me basically the Sikh, who gave me the values and the heritage to be a Sikh. I am not saying to you that to be a Sikh is easy, but that is the ultimate dream of the human. If you do not have the face, which God gave to you, with what face you can go to God. Everybody understand this Earth remains in this Earth doesn't know where to go, why to go and when to go. Sikh children have to understand basically one thing there are eight major religions, there is five thousands seven hundred ninety three sub religions. Five billion people each individual has his own religion.
我感恩自己是一名锡克，我感恩那些让我基本上成为锡克的人，那些给了我成为锡克的价值观和传承的人。我不是在跟你说做一名锡克很容易，但那是人类最终的梦想。如果神给你的那张脸你不要了，你还能用哪张脸去见神。大家都明白这一点，这片土留在这片土里，它不知道要去哪里、为什么要去、什么时候去。锡克孩子们必须从根本上明白一件事，有八大宗教，有五千七百九十三个分支宗教。五十亿人，每个人都自己的宗教。
Religion is not what you have been told, religion is a science and art of reality with which man can find his own axle, which money cannot buy, political power cannot buy and hanky-panky and manipulations cannot buy. There is only one satisfaction in the heart of a person, am I fulfilled? Am I complete? Can I leave now this planet Earth? Absolutely without any worry, these are the question, which you have to learn to answer. If as Sikh children you will not understand the science and art of excellence you will be defeated in life, you will be desperate you will be depressed and you will be miserable. Because higher you are greater is the fall. Because you must understand take all eight major religions, Judaism, Christianity, Hindu dharam, Buddhism, Shinto and Dao, forget the rest. They all tell you one thing do something for you, be excellent, purify yourself, make yourself great, be this, be that. It is at the time of Guru Nanak when he said, "Be that, be that doesn't make any difference, you have been already made by God start walking. With absolute trust in God I would not have been a Sikh myself if I would not have learned this line in Sikh Dharma, Angsung Wahe Guru. Pathanjali is five thousand, over years ago gave the description of Wahe Guru manter.
宗教不是别人告诉你的那样，宗教是一门关于实相的科学和艺术，人能借此找到自己的轴心，那是金钱买不到的，政治权力买不到的，耍花招和操控也买不到的。一个人心里只有一种满足，就是我满足了吗？我完整了吗？我现在能离开这个地球了吗？完全没有一丝担忧，这些问题，是你必须学会回答的。如果作为锡克孩子，你不懂这门关于卓越的科学和艺术，你会在人生中被打败，你会绝望，你会抑郁，你会痛苦。因为你站得越高，摔得越重。因为你必须明白，把八大宗教都拿来，犹太教、基督教、印度正法、佛教、神道教和道教，其余的就不说了。它们都告诉你同一件事，为自己做点什么，要卓越，净化自己，让自己伟大，成为这个，成为那个。而到了Guru Nanak的时候，他说：「成为那个，成为那个根本没什么区别，你早就已经被神造好了，开始走吧。凭着对神的绝对信任」如果我在锡克正法里没学到Angsung Wahe Guru, Whaa‑hay Guroo这一句，我自己都不会是一名锡克。Pathanjali在五千多年前就给出了Wahe Guru, Whaa‑hay Guroo曼陀罗的描述。

In the beginning of the time of the creativity that is what waha is. You have to understand in our history we who live to be Sikhs have to be intuitive, have to be intelligent and have to be conscious and we have to win others with love and service, these are fundamentals. If you start saying that I have weaknesses, then you can spend rest of your life to clarify weaknesses. Don't you trust God who made you? Whether he make you weak or make you strong that is His problem you didn't make yourself. Man has been fighting with God from day one and is fighting today. It is a total hypocrisy that people accept God, absolutely wrong, nobody accept God, God is a convenience. It is something, which give you everything, it is some prayer which you give to God, that won't work in case of a Sikh child. In your case you have to walk yourself making yourself ready to understand that God is with you.
起初，在那创造之时的开端，那就是“哇哈”。你要明白，在我们的历史里，我们这些作为锡克人活着的人，必须靠直觉，必须有才智，必须有觉知，还必须用爱和服务去赢得他人，这些是根本。如果你开始说“我有弱点”，那你就能用余生去澄清弱点。你难道不信任那个造了你的神吗？他把造得弱还是造得强，那是他的事，你并没有造你自己。人从第一天起就在和神较劲，今天还在较劲。人接受神，这完全是虚伪，绝对错了，没人接受神，神只是一种方便。它是一种东西，给你一切，它是你向神做的某种祈祷，对锡克孩子来说这不管用。在你这里，你必须自己走，让自己准备好去明白：神与你同在。
Somebody once asked me, "Have you seen God?"
有一次有人问我：“你见过神吗？”
I said, "Yes."
我说：“见过。”
"Where? Where is God?"
“哪里？神在哪里？”
I said, "English dictionary."
我说：“英语词典里。”
Its a shabad, it's a word, God comes from three words, G O D, one who generates, one who organizes, one who destroys or delivers. Question before is not that you are not generated or you cannot organize your life, question is do you want to be delivered or you want to be destroyed. This is what Sikh Dharma touches very neatly and very affectionately and very perfect. We are very grateful to Guru Gobind Singh, his seven-year and nine year and his two elder children they were not saints, they were not Gurus either, they were seven year and nine year. They stood alive to be bricked alive and never shed a tear. Where that strength can be available? Here somebody tickle you, you start crying, yelling, screaming, beating up and complaining all around. Imagine yourself standing in the wall and being bricked every minute inch by inch wall coming out and two people smiling. Till it came to the end the elder has a tear in his eyes.

The younger said, "What is going wrong?"

It is that deathlessness which is the base of Sikhism. It is that nirbao, nirvair. That is the base of Sikhism. Sikhism is nothing but simply a situation whether you are strong or handicap stand out. And start walking with a confidence that God and the guidance Wahe Guru shabad is two words, God and the guidance, combined is with you. Try that and you shall not fail. As far as the things are concerned, you are mischievous, you don't do certain wrong things, just understand those who do wrong things can equally do right things also. It's a consciousness where you put your energy, and it is now in your life that you have to decide what you want to be.
正是不朽，才是锡克教的根基。正是那种无畏（nirbao）、无敌意（nirvair）。那是锡克教的根基。锡克教无非就是这样一种处境：无论你是强壮的还是有残缺的，都站出来。然后怀着一种信心开始前行——神和指引，Wahe Guru, Whaa‑hay Guroo 圣音是两个词，神和指引，合在一起与你同在。去试，你不会失败。至于那些事情，你是调皮的，你没有做某些错事，只要明白，那些做错事的人同样也能做对的事。它是一种意识，你把能量放在哪里，现在在你的人生里，你必须决定你想成为什么。
Do we want to live in Canada and be second class citizens and look down at us that we are not intelligent, we are immigrants. How many generations we are going to pay this? Or are you going to live in Canada as Canadian plus? Are you going sit in examination with all the Canadian children and be plus? Your principal told me you did a sketch and you won the first prize in whole Canada, what a pride? We send about two hundred children in India in a school, we send them twelve thousand miles away from us, just for the conception that they can understand or they can survive at their own. We tell them if you cannot survive there twelve thousand miles away you can't survive at home either. Give us the grit, give us the strength, give us the competition so that tomorrow as a Sikh child you have no handicap. Just understand handicap is handicap whether you are religious or non religious.
我们是想住在加拿大，当二等公民，被人看低，说我们不聪明，我们是移民。这样的代价我们要付多少代？还是你要作为「加拿大人＋」住在加拿大？你是要和所有加拿大的孩子一起坐在考场上，而且还要加个「＋」？你的校长告诉我，你画了一幅画，在全加拿大得了第一名，多骄傲啊？我们把大约两百个孩子送到印度的学校里，把他们送到离我们一万两千英里远的地方，只是为了一个设想——他们能懂，或者他们能靠自己活下来。我们告诉他们，如果你在那一万两千英里外活不下来，你在家里也活不下来。给我们胆气，给我们力量，给我们竞争，这样明天你作为一个锡克孩子就没有任何残缺。只要明白，残缺就是残缺，不管你有信仰还是没信仰。
Fear is a fear whether you are great or rich or powerful or you are a pauper. These things are evident, but for a Sikh child you have no option, you cannot hide behind any reason and excuse, you must understand that. You are called upon like a saint and a soldier to answer the call of duty and the beauty of the life is in the call of the duty. Whosoever answers is perfect, whosoever fails is a failure. If you want to fail tomorrow you have to decide today. But if you want to succeed tomorrow that also you have to decide today too. Yesterday is already passed, there is no need crying on it, today is already passing there is no need worrying about it. Tomorrow is the only day you can welcome with a smile. You can waste it in mischief or you can become creative that it can serve you in your life. I am grateful to one who taught me and one who made me understand that one has to survive and one has to survive in excellence. That is why we have Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh. Our total purity, which is the highest gift one can achieve and our piety belongs to Wahe Guru and our victory, our excellence, our strength, also belongs to Wahe Guru. We are fortunate with some effort, we have started a Khalsa school. I hope one day you will be taught practical tackling to know how to learn the science of mun jeetey jag jeet, not by words. That's not going to work, philosophies are for philosophers. Technology is for technicians.

For a man it is the completion nothing less, nothing more. And as children you have to decide today you want of the be excellent in walk of life can you bring your consciousness to that steadiness and can you bring your intelligence to that deliverance, that is what Sikhism basically means. It is a practice to find out life and complete aspect of it. Prayers is a good thing worship is a wonderful thing and become rich is very good thing if you do not have reached to your own soul all is fake. And if that privilege can come to you as young you are, as little you are if you start thinking big now tomorrow will be great for you and if tomorrow being big you start thinking small you will lose all. My addressing to you is just very practical. I understand your handicap, I understand in America the American children were handicap also.
对一个人来说，这就是完成，不多一分，不少一分。而作为孩子，你们今天就得决定，你们想在人生道路上成为高贵的，你能把你的意识带到那份稳定吗，你能把你的智力带到那份解脱吗，这就是锡克教根本上所意味着的。它是一种修行，去发现生命以及它完整的面向。祈祷是好事，礼拜是美妙的事，变得富有也是很好的事；如果你还没有到达自己的灵魂，一切都是假的。如果这份殊荣能在你这么年轻、这么小的时候来到你身上，如果你现在就开始想得大，明天对你就会很伟大；如果明天你变得伟大了，却开始想得小，你就会失去一切。我对你们讲的，非常实际。我明白你们的难处，我明白在美国，美国孩子也有他们的难处。
When I had second generation in our way of life we found out they are handicap and they are weak, but we didn't take any time, we decided immediately that these children have to survive by their own grace. We built them you are fortunate that you have Khalsa school here, we at that time didn't have Khalsa school, we put them on the ship on the aeroplane send then to the land of the Gurus; and we told them goodbye. Come when you have qualified or you have succeeded. It was our silent link with the land of the Guru's and also it was a silent link with ourself that the second generation should be better than us. I understand you will find some difficulties, you try to have a good life and fun but just understand the music of the west is neurotic music, it can give you temporary satisfaction whether it will get totally ruin your thinking brain and you won't even have intelligence. I am so glad that you were singing gurbani. You were singing gurbani just to do as a duty. I am from the west, I came to this west I understood the pain and the torture of the west. I understand the west has forty percent divorces, sixty percent ill will relationship, eighty percent personal indempted insult if that kind of human you want to live in west and you can just show off with particular dollars and live in a misery God bless you, may Canada bless you, enjoy. But if you want to come out of this dirt and show your strength and light as human being then there is a possibility that you can make your tomorrow as every plane who flies from a distant to a destiny has to have a height, every.....

Sunlight and you are very fortunate that you have Siri Guru Granth to relate to, it is not a person, it is not a personality and it is not an ego, it's a knowledge of practical reality in divinity and dignity with which gives a person personality. Sikhism has crossed the boundary of Sutlej river, we have crossed the curse. The world has adapted it, it may look right today small to you, exactly ninety hundred and ninety one years where was Christians? Three hundred thousands, three thousand where was the Buddhist? Everything starts it takes time to grow, it takes time to spread, I want to remind you don't pass away this fortunate opportunity being born in Sikh homes and not understand the basic value what a Sikh is. Don't be ritualistic but be realistic. Don't do it unconsciously but learn it consciously. I hope you can have the mischief time in the ground and a leader you can also be leader when time will call on you. Diverting a situation is right idea but somebody will do it, your situation at that time, you understand? Do you know how to concentrate? Nobody has taught you how to listen? Don't they teach you japji?

Don't you understand the meaning of it? Don't you understand (?) nobody teach you divinity is? You don't understand the values? It is the discipline, it is the patience, it is the tolerance, and it is the excellence, which will pay you the dividend in your life. I am not going to bore you anymore, I think you need lot of practical teaching. I am in very pain to see you, first of all you do not know how to sit, secondly, you do not know how to sit alert. Thirdly, you do not know how to have a self control on your body. Fourthly, your body language is not receivable, you are out of tune. I'll request the principal, she has twenty years in this school of learning I do not know what she is doing? It is no good to be principal here and waste your time if your children are showing (?). And you know me very well, and I'll give you another chance another six months if you can come through somebody else should take the responsibility of it and we are not supposed to be here.

These children will either remember you or will curse you tomorrow if they do not become some excellent people. And you want to take it on your neck have it, I am not going to be part of it. You must know in our japji there are four pauris, which teaches us those who understand to obey learn to command, those who learn to hear can become learned and it is not in my words it is in the word of Guru Nanak itself. My only request to you is if you understand the basic deep understanding what is contained in japji you will understand the reality of life and personality will be far stretched beautiful than we expect. I know we bring our children to Gurdwara to run them around, ladies come to look each other suits and dressings how it is. I am fully aware. I am not the one who has not twenty years fight that issue. Majority of the places is in this Gurdwaras I have still have those wounds on my body, I was physically beaten, but I kept saying and giving the call in the name of the Guru. I have dedicated my years and some of you also have to rise up and do it. It is now that you should catch your roots so that you can have the fruits tomorrow and happy life. Just understand it's a very simple saying, chamatkar ko namaskar hein, it's the excellence which is saluted, not the physical man.
这些孩子明天要么记得你，要么就会诅咒你——如果他们没能成为优秀的人。你想把这担子揽到自己脖子上，随你，我不会参与其中。你必须知道，在我们的Japji里有四小节（Pauri），它教我们：懂得服从的人才能学会指挥，学会聆听的人才能成为有学问的人——这不是我的话，这是Guru Nanak本人的话。我对你们唯一的请求是：如果你真正理解了Japji里所包含的深层含义，你就会明白人生的真相，而人格会远远超出我们预期地美丽。我知道我们带孩子来谒师所（Gurdwara）就是让他们到处跑，太太们来是为了看彼此的套装和穿著打扮怎么样。我完全清楚。我不是那种没有为此抗争过二十年的人。大部分地方，就在这些谒师所里，我身上至今还有那些伤痕，我被实实在在地打过，但我一直以Guru之名呼吁、呼吁。我把我的岁月都奉献了，你们中有些人也必须站起来去做。现在正是你该抓住自己根的时候，这样你明天才能有果实，才能有幸福的人生。只要明白一句很简单的话：chamatkar ko namaskar hein，被致敬的是卓越，不是肉体这个人。

You don't have to thank me. After six months (?). And if the children can do like this there is no use to call it a Khalsa school it's a fun. What's the difference between our children and other children? They should sit alert like a statute that they may not move and the whole world might be moving. Give them something which you know don't pass time here, you are needed in so many places.
你们不必谢我。六个月之后（？）。如果孩子们能这样做到，那把它叫做卡尔萨（Khalsa）学校就没意义了，那只是个玩笑。我们的孩子和其他孩子有什么区别？他们应该坐得像一尊雕像一样警觉，自己纹丝不动，而整个世界也许都在动。给他们一些东西，你知道的，不要在这里打发时间，很多地方都需要你。

YB: I was told word 'understanding." Understanding means stand under. If you are willing to stand under and take the entire load then you can only have understanding, otherwise there is no such thing as understanding. He is asking you to grow, grow means go to the ultimate end where you are destined to. And you are growing, you can learn the basic sound, which is in English words which will tell you tomorrow what tomorrow is. To marrow, on that day which shall come, how you will face it that practically it means tomorrow. You need intuition, you need talent and you need understanding and you are fortunate to be in a school, where at least these things are basically required to be taught. And my hope is that you will learn it. Why I am hoping it? I was four year old when I learned that and I couldn't forget it all my life. And that's what I am trying to share with you. Why we fold our hands like this? You neutralize the calmness of our mind. Why we come and bow?
Yogi Bhajan：有人告诉过我「理解（understanding）」这个词。理解意味着站在下面。如果你愿意站在下面，承担起全部的重量，你才可能有理解，否则根本就没有理解这回事。他在要你成长，成长意味着走到你注定要去的终极之处。而你在成长，你可以学会那个基本的音，它就在英文词里，明天会告诉你明天是什么。到明天，在那个将要到来的日子里，你怎么面对它，实际上这就是明天的意思。你需要直觉，你需要才能，你需要理解，而你有幸在一所学校里，至少这些东西是最基本要被教的。我的希望是你能学会它。我为什么抱这个希望？我四岁的时候学会了它，一辈子都忘不掉。这就是我想和你们分享的。我们为什么这样合掌？你能因此中和心智的平静。我们为什么进来顶礼？
Because this is an altar it has no alternative. A man who cannot concentrate on altar cannot succeed in life, it's a scientific law which cannot be denied. And the purpose of your life is to be successful. You can decide today you will be on sale or you will be priceless. You decide today if you become priceless, everything will come to you. If you are on sale, you will go cheap. We want you to be very, very priceless and costly and effective and intelligent. That is actually the purpose of Khalsa School, purity and piety in every diversion of life. I never knew there is such a beautiful school, I would have come many times. I never knew you all are here to learn. But anyway we have started a relationship let us see where we go.
因为这是圣坛，没有别的选择。一个无法在圣坛前专注的人，在人生中不可能成功，这是一条无法否认的科学法则。你人生的目的就是成功。你今天就可以决定，你是要被贱卖，还是要成为无价之宝。你今天决定，如果你成为无价之宝，一切都会来到你面前。如果你被贱卖，你就会变得廉价。我们希望你非常非常无价、珍贵、有力量、有智慧。这其实就是卡尔萨学校的目的——在生活的每一个面向里保持纯洁与虔诚。我从来不知道有这么美好的一所学校，不然我会来很多次。我从来不知道你们都在这里学习。不过不管怎样，我们已经建立了一种关系，看看我们会走到哪里。
Thank you very much for listening and considering my few words. Just remember one day I was also little like you and also I learned. It is only the learning which will make you learned and that will be useful in your life. Not the mischief. If you word mischief, miss the cheap, miss being cheap. Mischief means miss being cheap. You want that? None of you want it. But if you do like this, this sitting like this, that the monkeys do, we are human. We can't afford to do those things.

YB: So what I mean to say is let us grow in that strength and that is what my actually my dream is you call it or my longing is that I want to see you all very strong, very successful, absolutely excellent and glowing to that point that you can understand the line in japji, man jeetey jag jeet.
Yogi Bhajan：所以我想说的是，让我们在那份力量中成长，这其实就是我的梦想，或者说是我的渴望——我想看到你们全都非常强大、非常成功、绝对卓越、光芒四射，到了那样的地步，你们就能明白《Japji Sahib》里的那句话：man jeetey jag jeet——征服心智，就征服了世界。

YB: I want to...it is very lucky that we did it. Now some of you are doing to your turban like this. You must learn to tie turban that anything goes up but this crown of your head stands there. You know why we put our hair up there? Do you know the scientific research on it? It is just to control the nerve energy at the solar center so that you can work faster intuitively. God is not out of His place that He gave you longest hair on the head, He didn't have extra, He said give it to the human. They have a purpose, use that purpose and you will be much plus than anybody else. I know Giayni ji has told it will take time and he is fighting a very uphill battle, I pray to the Guru that he gets success in that, but I will like to assure you also that this uphill battle will never go away, we all have to fight it. But we want to see you on the top of the hill.
