get lost. The greatest strength of a person is oneness and greatest polarity of a person is a duality. God is one, parents are two, united together.

Today Sikh Dharma is going through a stage where we have to give our children strength beyond doubt. We cannot afford to give them strength with doubt, that is the limit in the western hemisphere. In western white race psychology, tell your children to do what is right and what is wrong and then let him choose his path. If I am wrong I am subject to correction. That is the greatest deceit to start with; give your children total strength and let him decide it. Children are given to us, they are seeking values. When you decided to give them the values some people will decide to take away the values. Just remember, action has equal and opposite reaction.

Today is a history. When these Patat Sikhs tried to approach the SGPC and tried to create a scandal about the Siri Singh Sahib. Their approach was very good. "Well, we gave you to be Siri Singh Sahib, we approached to the constitution, we did everything but it has never happened before. And all these Indian Sikhs, which has(who have) come to United States, are very upset because, they don't want a religious authority to sit on them and guide them and direct them. And we have to take care of them. We have also given you the highest honor to make you Bhai Sahib. Is there any possibility that we can make a compromise? "

It is a conversation between two saints, a thing was done in a utmost hurry and I became a part of it. " I said, "But now I can die but I won't give Siri Singh Sahib up under any circumstances. "

Today to be very honest with you, if somebody is just rude to me, he is not rude to me at all. If somebody is abusive to me, he is not abusive to me at all. If somebody talks ill of me, he doesn't talk ill of me at all, not at all, not a word. According to everybody who is negative with himself, with herself and with the situation or with the Dharma, they do feel that is the strength, that is the light. And as moths come in dozens and in hundreds to extinguish the light, that's what all this is about.

Surprising to me in this country where sex has no value more than free to hundred fifty bucks. And everybody is running around without knowing what they are doing. How this second chakra of character assassination means anything, except it is only a old tradition. Other than that I never think it has any value. But for us, there is a great value because somebody is trying to take away from our children their strength. Somebody is trying to create a duality in the mind, who have yet not handled their tomorrow.

Just now I was talking to a teenage girl. Couple years ago with my these two hands I fed her about two to three pounds of grapes.

Given a chance our children will be stronger than the steel and steadier than any stone we can believe in, given a chance. But we have to pay the price. There is nothing free.

Today we have a challenge. And this council has a great responsibility to follow through on that challenge. But we have a weakness, "Oh so and so is my friend. " Sakath or a slanderer is never a friend, he is below than the Bemukh. Bemukh is who has turned his face away and gone. Sakath is one who has turned away his face and wants you to turn your face away. Sakath is the one who takes away from a person his spiritual satya, his sat, his faith. In Siri Guru Granth you will read so many dictates,

Never be with a Sakath, it's not worth it. Bemukh Manmukh, Sanmukh, Gurmukh. These are the mental stages of the people.

Good and bad we have this time a growing population of our children. Either we can at any cost, I am just asking, what is more precious than you and your children? Nothing. And can we secure their future and give them the value, which they need and give them a tomorrow or we have to hassle in our own emotional sense and ruin their body, mind, so that their soul cannot even be satisfied.

好与坏，我们这一次有不断增长的孩子人口。要么我们可以不惜一切代价，我只是在问，有什么比你和你孩子更珍贵？没有。我们能不能保障他们的未来，给他们需要的价值，给他们一个明天，还是我们必须在自己的情绪感受里纠缠，毁掉他们的身体、心智，以至于他们的灵魂甚至无法满足。

It is a time for a play; it is a time for a offering; it is a time for a sacrifice, it is a time to be selfish; it is a time to be real and to be honest with you, it is time to wake up. If you won't wake up now there will be a tremendous amount of loss. As we suffered, we revolted and we sought new horizons and new boundaries and new frontiers because there was nobody to give us the strength. Let us not deprive our children of that strength which they are seeking.

现在是玩耍的时候；现在是奉献的时候；现在是牺牲的时候；现在是自私的时候；现在是对自己真实、对自己诚实的时候，现在是醒来的时候。如果你现在不醒来，会有巨大的损失。我们曾经受苦，我们反抗，我们寻找新的地平线、新的边界和新的疆域，因为没有人给我们力量。让我们不要剥夺我们的孩子正在寻找的那份力量。

I called them this morning in my room I spoke with them. I told them, whatever may happen the only beautiful thing they may not understand now, what they have to understand is, they are by themself very good people, innocent and angel like and they have all the strength. And I told them, doesn't matter whatever planning they do, it will be one-third and two-third will be in the hand of God and I also told them, "What is one-third of a dollar? "

Just to make it even, make it thirty-four cents you have the powers, sixty-six God has. So if you will be with God you will have sixty-six cents secure.

With your coward thinking forget it, you won't think, think you won't make it, it won't happen. These are all your plans. And it's very funny. All we plan is our advantage on this earth. Funny part is that we don't belong to this earth. We have come here. Now if you all start planning, how to change, renovate and make this Sandpiper Bay the way you want. You know, in after a week you all are going to leave? And when I come to this place I see that board, you must have read it too, 'saints and sinner, bar and grill. ' So, bar for the saints and grill for the sinners. It is well written; it's well said. When I saw it first time I stood up and I cracked up.

Today we have a great responsibility; we have responsibility for a great future. We need to have a educational academy where we can raise our children educationally, technically, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally to handle tomorrow. We don't have funds but we have the technology, we have the ideas, we have the strength.

今天我们肩负着巨大的责任；我们肩负着一个伟大未来的责任。我们需要有一所教育学院，让我们能在教育上、技术上、身体上、心智上、灵性上和情绪上把孩子们养大，去应对明天。我们没有资金，但我们有技术，我们有想法，我们有力量。

We sometime feel that our motto and our goal is not clear, nobody is working. But when I look at my secretariat staff and I see them working about sixteen to eighteen hours when they don't come at even seven pm, eight pm home. And sometime they, they are already gone, even anybody can think of it. I think there are people working, very diligently, very sincerely, very honestly, very committedly. I also feel some people even do not have time to be polite, they are so tired, so overtaken, so beaten up, the only thing which stop them is flu. There are some people they never rest they only rest when they are flu. I think there are lot of people who are working very sincerely.

我们有时觉得自己的座右铭和目标不清晰，没人在做事。但当我看着我的秘书处员工，我看到他们工作大约十六到十八个小时，晚上七点、八点都回不了家。有时他们，他们早就走了，谁都想不到。我认为有人在做事，非常勤勉，非常真诚，非常诚实，非常投入。我也觉得有些人连讲礼貌的时间都没有，他们太累了，太被压榨了，太被折腾了，唯一能让他们停下来的就是流感。有些人从不休息，只有得了流感才休息。我认为有很多人在非常真诚地做事。

I see our children I see their strength. If given a free hand and a good care and a chance, I think they will come out tomorrow the strongest children you ever had. With all the teaching of spiritual practices and rituals, all you can afford to become a saint and what a saint does? Two things – he praise the Lord and wants all to do so. Why people worship him? Why people give him the gifts? Why people do everything? Because he makes people sacred; he shows them the path; he shares them with the strength.

In my sixteen years I have been vultured very much, I call it vulturing. When people get dissatisfied and they get frustrated they want to scratch somebody. And first position comes of the one they love the most. It's a very strange situation, it's a love and hate relationship, it's a very great psychology here. And I don't blame anybody for a very specific reason because everybody has been raised with a confronting parents. Where father is very strong he's too strong, where mother is too strong mother is too strong, there is no in-between. Our western civilization give us working, confronting and emotionally tie-in parents, they call love. There is no graduation, there is no love.

在我这十六年里，我被人狠狠地「秃鹰啄食」过，我管它叫秃鹰啄食。当人们不满、受挫的时候，就想抓个人来挠一挠。排在第一位的，往往是他们最爱的那个人。这是很奇怪的处境，是一种爱恨交织的关系，这里面有很深的心理机制。我不怪任何人，原因很具体：每个人从小都是被一对爱对抗的父母养大的。父亲强，就强得过头；母亲强，就强得过头，没有中间地带。我们的西方文明给我们的，是能干活的、爱对抗的、在情感上捆绑的父母，他们管这叫爱。这里面没有毕业，没有爱。

While coming here I was remembering once my grandfather and I was discussing something about grace and I ask him, "I say, what is a grace? "

He said, "When somebody comes and attacks you with utmost grace, disgraceful situation. And if you can hold your grace, you are in the kindergarten of the grace. If somebody attacks you disgracefully so consistently and so constantly, nail you in the corner and you have no way, still, you overcome very gracefully and teaching him how to be graceful, you are graduated. "

他说：「当有人带着极度的优雅来攻击你——那是个丢脸的处境。如果你能守住自己的优雅，你还在优雅的幼儿园里。如果有人一而再、再而三地、毫不间断地用丢脸的方式攻击你，把你逼到墙角，你无路可走，你仍然能非常优雅地超越过去，还教他怎样变得优雅，那你就毕业了。」

And he said, "If somebody just wants you to be totally disgraceful doesn't matter what and attacks you from every corner, you not only handle him gracefully, not only teach him how to be graceful but make him understand forever what grace is, you have mastered it. "

他说：「如果有人就是想要你彻底丢脸，不管怎样，从四面八方攻击你，你不但能优雅地应对他，不但能教他怎样变得优雅，还能让他永远明白什么是优雅，那你就精通了。」

Is there anybody who can do in a less than that? That's the price you pay. That consistency you need, that virtue you have to have, that strength and participation you need. And in that today we are changing to our new road; we are crossing over to new area. We are now not interested who leaves the Dharma and who is in Dharma, that's not our hassle. And who slanders us and who doesn't. There will be few remnants of this nonsense for a while but that's not we are not looking forward. Now we are looking forward, how to qualify, classify, analyze and regroup our strength to be the best and the most successful business people.

有谁能做到比这更少的吗？这就是你要付的代价。你需要那份坚持，你必须具备那种品德，你需要那份力量和参与。而今天，我们正转向新的道路；我们正跨越到新的领域。我们现在不关心谁离开了正法、谁还在正法里，那不是我们要操心的。也不关心谁诽谤我们、谁不诽谤。这些无聊的事还会残留一阵子，但那不是我们要看的方向。现在我们要看的是：如何让自己够格、如何分类、如何分析、如何重新整合我们的力量，成为最好、最成功的商人。

So without being a mafia and going through mafiano tendencies we can totally grow without through any racketeering and staying very positive and clean individual and graceful.

所以，不必当黑帮，也不必经历黑帮式的倾向，我们完全可以成长，不必搞任何敲诈勒索，同时保持非常正向、干净、优雅的个体。

We do not follow the other communities and other communities' racketeering. We want to be just excellent through our creative and strong essence, which we have learnt and we enjoy. That's a very vital thing that we should not fall into the pit of regrouping our self into command and order in which no individual can survive and we have to have a absolute group to hold our economy, we don't want that. We want everybody to nurse itself and individually grow and where we have a collective possibility of growth in that area also we want individual to become managers and responsible and graceful executives of tomorrow. So he appointed a regent and went there for recuperation. Three years there was absolute peace and prosperity and joy in that country of his. And somebody said, "There is a prosperity because of absence. " Because people understood if he'll come back it will be the same thing.

Ten thousand dollar in debt whether you loaned it or not, whether you asked for it or not, whether you have the credit and collateral or not, is there. In this economy and this political tension we are growing fast towards excellence and it's a excellent opportunity that we should put our pool together, our strength together.

Some of the members in the 3HO organization and in Sikh Dharma do still have the feeling that they can create a big stir. Through the floor of the house I will like to warn them, that is a old dream. Many have tried and they have gone to that pit, you can follow the same. But this Dharma is not meant to stop itself and it shall grow and they are lot more faithful people in it than some who claim they are. I have seen people, whom we call not very prominent Sikhs but they are much super steady and less emotional. I have seen people much deeper and serviceful but they don't make lot of claims. They are always a very strong corner in every community and fortunately we have the big one.

1984 was one of that year, when I had gone through the most painful association of slander. And I have seen my best ones turning corrupt slanderous and almost talked the color of the enemy talk, then talked the faith. And I am very grateful because 1984 was the year of the Guru and to be honest with you, we chanted more, we prayed more and we loved Guru more. And when all those cases dropped at the birthday of Guru Ram Das, that memorial will stand out in memory more than anything we can ever admire.

I hope you will carry on your work tomorrow and build your future of tomorrow so solid, so clean and so graceful that your children who are at that time, ready to join you on a lunch, instead of a good lunch it should also see a good smiling face of each member whom they can relate with a confidence beyond the institution of a father, a mother, a teacher, just the ambassador of God.
