Interviewer: (?) in the history of the human (?) we have seen we have been experiencing major social or physical and economic upheavals and (?) then you know (?) localized in (?) major thing, which destroys the country (?) other parts of the world (?) and during the time of partition many people lost their lives, you were there and had to lead the entire village on Fourth March for many days before you reach safety, what was it like to be in situation like that?
YB: Hah, our situation was that we were about seven thousand people (?) and we have only one day of ration. And we were attacked from three sides, three corners and there was no regular fighting that the only path we had to have was the rice fields, where up to knee there was a mud water standing for us, but still if you are a good leader and you are a conscious person and if people have faith in you... we came through very nicely. What we did is, we turned the paddy fields into food, we turned the mud water to soak it through the towels to drinking water, I mean we regenerated the whole system but the only thing, which survived us was discipline.
So and the other thing was that we wanted to be survive.
I mean we regenerated the whole system but the only thing, which survived us was discipline.
So and the other thing was that we wanted to be survive.
Interviewer: So you even didn't have a huge amount of technology of food stored (?) disciplined in (?).
YB: No technology could have worked except discipline, training and leadership, these are three technology, which can work through everything. Because basically everything falls apart, everything is schemes. Suppose here disaster happens or Freeway bridges fall, now they are convenience, they are convenience, they will become the biggest hurdle, no jeep, no truck can go out of a over cross Freeway, which fell on a basic road bottom road, you know it means all the four roads are blocked forever. You can't... you have to go, no car can go over, three-four storied house. But they are today very convenience, they are very style.
blocked forever. You can't... you have to go, no car can go over, three-four storied house. But they are today very convenience, they are very style.
So what I mean to say, we have to understand and find out intelligently and use our intelligence to get out of one point to another point of safety and that's why I am asking everybody, I feel this time will pass, it will pass but if doesn't pass, we should be ready, that's it, I will never be panicked about it.
Interviewer: Could something like partition happened in United States?
YB: There are three things, which can happens in United States, one can be like a Civil War, like people against government, chaos I call it, that can happen. Secondly, there maybe a some kind of attack, which may paralyze our system. Between 1984 to 1988 I do see the possibility, I underline the word possibility. There is a possibility that we may see some kind of paralyzation if it is not averted before that.
Interviewer: Human conditions being temporary and constantly changing could there ever be a time when there was no war and has there ever been or is there a possible human (?)
being temporary and constantly changing could there ever be a time when there was no war and has there ever been or is there a possible human (?)
YB: Temporarily there may not be a war what happens is this conditions gear up to the war and then war happens and then they gear up to peace and then peace happens and they gear up to...
Interviewer: What role does a spiritual person and spiritual community play in the destiny of the nation.
YB: To keep the war away, destruction away!
Interviewer: Has ever been in time and history when yogis have wrote the destiny of the nation?
YB: Effectively yeah.
Interviewer: When was that?
YB: Many, many times the wise man, what is a yogi, yogi is one who has a union with God, such man always create goodwill and goodwill has only ruled the Earth.
Interviewer: Without knowing what could happen in the future, how should we be preparing?
YB: I think we should have a greater ability, greater unity and greater discipline that we have now.
Interviewer: What about preparations of children to face such situations?
YB: Training.
YB:训练。
Interviewer: Any specific training?
that we have now.
Interviewer: What about preparations of children to face such situations?
YB: Training.
YB:训练。
Interviewer: Any specific training?
YB: They must know to obey orders, they must understand the conditions, they must understand between the hard time and soft time.
Interviewer: Are there special Kundalini Yoga exercise and meditation (?).
YB: What is this?
Interviewer: Isn't the teaching of Kundalini Yoga, when we are talking about science of survival techniques, isn't the teaching of Kundalini Yoga actually the most primal science of survival?
YB: Well, it is a well... it gives you a, it gives you a intuitive intelligence and intuitive intelligence save you from dangers and give you alternative avenue for safety and that's where Kundalini Yoga gives you a enormous IQ, enormous intelligence, enormous strength, enormous love to survive, it's a very, very beautiful science, it must be the (?) because that's the science is as old as man is.
Interviewer: How old is Kundalini Yoga?
YB: As old as we are because man wanted to learn the intuitive intelligence and wanted to achieve it and he experimented and built it and here we are.
YB: As old as we are because man wanted to learn the intuitive intelligence and wanted to achieve it and he experimented and built it and here we are.
Interviewer: What was the origin of Kundalini Yoga?
YB: Man's need to survive against odd.
Interviewer: Developed through intuitive and...
YB: Yeah, yeah, it developed through the experience and some people just worked on it and became the sages and they just left this knowledge through the sages and it has developed to from master to master, heart to heart and today we are teaching it in the open, it is the next step to every man's neurosis.
Interviewer: You once said, as long as man has not learned to respect a woman, there can be no peace on Earth, what does this mean in the context we are talking about?
YB: Because woman is the faculty of peace, it is the polarity of the positive. Therefore, when you learned to complete the negative circuit with the positive, you have a glow, you have a peace, that's how the peace is. Man has only become aggressive for greed and for ego and every war if you want to look under the history of it, it is always decided to have a war, when you are greedy.
aggressive for greed and for ego and every war if you want to look under the history of it, it is always decided to have a war, when you are greedy.
Interviewer: It seems that the world's been on brink of conflict for a longest time and is there a cure for this? Can it be cured?
YB: Well, with a human communication like UNO and those kind of countries sitting together and negotiating, then examining their own war material that is where the problem is. But problem is all the big countries, which could have influenced other countries for peace are the war arm merchant. So they want to find a space, where they want to sell their arms.
Interviewer: During the time of National disaster people had withdrawn from 3HO because of the stability in presence of our ashram communities, how can our people best help these people?
YB: We have a faculty to organize people, we have a inborn faculty of leadership, and at that time all people will need safety and we can provide that rout, that's all we become the leader for.
Interviewer: How should we prepare ourselves to take on our responsibilities?
and we can provide that rout, that's all we become the leader for.
Interviewer: How should we prepare ourselves to take on our responsibilities?
YB: I think we should, we should try to learn more, discipline ourself more, communicate ourself more and not get swayed away by pressures but face the pressure and learn how to combat a pressure and find a way through. Success lies in our technology, we should use it and not flunk it here and there once a while and if we become regular disciplined soldiers, we will become disciplined saints and that's our path. That's it!
Interviewer: One more question.
YB: What is that?
Interviewer: Do you envision the people in 3HO might have to evacuate Guru Ram Das Puri in the next few years?
YB: I am not saying they have to, I say if we have to.
Interviewer: If we have to!
YB: If we have to, then at least we will be honest to be ready.
Interviewer: Well, that's the preparation...
YB: That's what I am saying people should pay Dasvandh, so that we can have jointly by the community effort make schools, make shelters, make bump proof, made radiant proof, radiation proof shelters and all those kind of things. So, if we have to, then we have it.
make shelters, make bump proof, made radiant proof, radiation proof shelters and all those kind of things. So, if we have to, then we have it.
Interviewer: What about our communities overseas in Europe and the far east?
YB: We, we are planning all, we are not very open about it but we are planning enough to get to everybody, we are not going to let everybody be abandoned or feel rejected up. You know our objects are clear.
Interviewer: Aah one last question, with the advent of Right Wing fanatical Christian organizations such as (?) a small majority. Is religious freedom in America in danger?
YB: I don't think so, I think these are fads, it's a way to get political power from the innocent or ignorant people. In America there has always have been fanatics. So, bottle them in any label doesn't mean anything.
Interviewer: Okay, what should people be doing to protect their rights in situations like that?
YB: To live to higher consciousness, nobody is going to take away your right.
Interviewer: What advice you have for America that has moved into 1980's?
YB: Be careful!
YB:小心!
Interviewer: Okay, thank you.
