In the western world meditation was not given importance because to cut off the western people from the eastern in spite of the fact that in Christianity chanting the naam of Jesus Christ and playing the rosary was a part of the Christian religion. But what happened is, when it came to change towards the protestants group, decidedly that part was totally ignored. And it was considered even today that anybody who meditates or chants or do these kind of things is away from Christianity he worships the devil and not the God.

When you meet stone headed people... I am successful to a certain extent I change the diet of the people, I change the wearing habits of the people. I know because they only relate to physical they are so dumb they do not have the sophistication to go deep right into the base of the problem. All right, let us change the front and let us go inside and do something. After all, we as people have to live in this country and if we are people then we have to have a mind which can stand every strain, do you understand? When I say depression doesn't make good impression, I say it very laughingly but inside my heart I live with baboons.

There is a feeling in America now that we have to change our mind, we have to take care of our mind, we have to control our mind, we have to relate to our mind. We cannot go on. You ask why people drink liquor. Nobody with a sane self control needs liquor, nobody with a sane self control needs even any food which has any stimulating quality. Tamas food meat, eggs, liquor, it is called Tamas food. Acidic food, it has directly relationship to stimulate the liver, it's not the criteria of a human being.

When you go people's party why they ask you to drink first? Because you should be off your feet. Have you seen a party without drink, nobody talks like duck. Now what is a party of silent people? When you are sane then you have to make sense, you have to talk sense and party means to talk anything you have to talk. So they give you little brandy, little this, little that and relaxes you to the extent you do not know what you are talking. All these social things which we do is subject to our relaxation of mind which actually is practical burdening our mind with more and more garbage and less and less clarity. Less clear mind means more unhappiness, clear mind which means happiness.

There is a much less thing in this country called understanding because nobody stand under each other. Everybody wants to overtake another person. I have experienced that as a spiritual teacher, I have found out that if you give one opinion to one person at the same time it may be most accurate opinion, all you have is a rebellion on your hand. People are rebels here, because their mental capacity cannot take a opinion, so why you give a opinion. If I want to abuse anybody, the greatest abuse I have used against my student is relax and rejoice.

In practical honestly what I am saying is you are a dumb idiot, you are not reachable at all, there is no faculty in your aura that you can understand a human life therefore relax and rejoice. Because mental capacity is not what you say, mental capacity is what you have the capacity to hear. Mental capacity is not measured by what you talk, what you represent, mental capacity is how concentratedly you can hear the unheard. How sharp you are to read between the lines. And how much capacitated you are to act and produce. Mental capacity is equal to performance from the impossible to the possible, done in a steady state of mind and that is the art of the individual.

Mind of worship is a mind of no vacancy, you want to meditate on Christ, you want to meditate on Guru Nanak, you want to meditate on Guru Ram Das, you want to meditate on Buddha, when your mind has no vacancy in the direct stimulation of taking that rasa of that nectar, then your worship is complete; whether you are a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim I don't care who you are, but my problem is you are not a human being to begin with. Because you don't have a human mind. You do rituals for which I am very grateful to all of you, but rituals are rituals, rituals are never reality.

So we have to have unexpected mental sharpness to find the answer.
