Fastest thing next to God, the creative thing is the mind, force of mind. Mind immediately sides with the physical nature of the person. And when that happens the spirit which is a power, which holds you become low and low and low. It becomes so much low that in you only it exists so nominally to keep you in touch with the cosmic energy. That is the relationship between a material man and the cosmic energy which we call as God. Simple, little. Zero power bulb is right in our temple. Just dark, just little sign. Rest is all physical. Now this is one case.

但如果一个人需要从这一生跨到另一生，跨到全然的灵性生活，那么有一件事我们必须清楚：全然的灵性生活并不是对物质生活一无所知。我们就在这儿犯糊涂，就在这儿犯错。整个奥秘就藏在这一个点上。我们觉得，一旦我们走向物质世界，好，可我们意识到物质世界全是痛苦？那就别管它了。那又怎样？全然的灵性。

And when all the creditor knew in market that he couldn’t be a president of the bank, they started asking for the money back. And he has already eaten. You can well understand the state of that man.

这就好比有人要当一家银行的总裁。他开始向人借钱。运气不好，他没能当上那家银行的总裁。当市场上所有债主都知道他当不成银行总裁了，他们就开始讨债。而钱他早就花掉了。那个人的处境你完全能想象。

Before really becoming spiritual if a man starts not caring for his material values, he ends up in such a bad way. Neither he remains material nor he remains physical. And material values and material world is not a bad idea at all. These are the means and we have to use these means for the promotion of the physical being as well as our spiritual being. Money is not a bad thing at all. Money is a media. But whatever you use money for, that matter. With money you can serve a hungry man. You can look after and promote a good man. And with money you can hire a bunch of bad people, give them lot of wine and cause riots.

在真正变得有灵性之前，如果一个人开始不在乎自己的物质价值，他会落得很惨。他既不再是物质的，也不再是肉体的。而物质价值和物质世界根本不是坏东西。它们是手段，我们必须用这些手段来提升肉体，也提升我们的灵性。钱根本不是坏东西。钱是一种媒介。但你用钱做什么，那才是关键。有了钱，你可以服务一个饥饿的人。你可以照顾并扶持一个好人。有了钱，你也可以雇一帮坏人，给他们很多酒，挑起骚乱。

And ultimately, money is useful to you for your period of breath. So long you breathe, money can be a media for you. But a stage will come when money cannot stand for you and that stage is where your only spiritual self is a valuable to you.

归根到底，钱只在你还有呼吸的这段时间里对你有用。只要你还在呼吸，钱就可以是你的媒介。但会有一个阶段到来，那时钱帮不了你，那个阶段里，只有你的灵性自我对你有价值。

Spiritual self is valuable to you only at the time when physical self is going to leave you and between these two stages try to understand money acts as a media. Money buys services for you, money buys material for you, for the intelligence, ability and the services you render. So money is nothing in itself. It is a transaction media between you and others. It is a communication of physical level whereas talking is a communication on understanding level. Through talk you understand each other. And through money you practically perform that understanding into a manner. So money is a media. How come a man then do wrong when this understanding is with us?

We do wrong in one way. We pursue only our one way of life. People who have got money, they always feel and guard money. People who have become spiritual, they always have their spiritual way of thinking. Both get involved in ego. The material man get involved in a material ego, whereas the spiritual man gets involved in a spiritual ego.

I have traveled quite a bit in India. India is a place where there are so many spiritual people that you can hardly count. My visiting with them and talking with them gave me one impression that everybody has reached a level, beyond this he is not going to prosper, he is stuck there. Why? After reaching a certain stage the person feels, ‘yeah, that’s it.’ And it reminds me the greatest story in Panchtantra which has been illustrated like that.

Kabir went out in jungle to meditate on the holy name of God. Shabad given to Kabir was Ram. He chanted Ram, Ram, Ram. And according to the Laya Yoga Kriya, he got lost into Ram. He became one with Ram and he had all bliss inside him. He thought,‘my mission is complete, now let me go and meet my mother.’ When coming on the way he was sitting under a tree and he looked at the tree, he saw so many sparrows playing on that tree, they looked pretty and beautiful and he said, “If I have got the power why not I use it?”

He looked at them. He said, “Lord, I am grateful to you. Sparrows, start chanting again, be great.” All the sparrows from the earth flew up, sat on the branch of the tree and started doing their chit-chat again. He had a confidence. I can perform this, that is my power.

你看，Kabir 修了 12 年苦行，现在却要上当受骗，因为神有办法考验一个有力量的人有没有小我。Kabir 说：「让我试试这些麻雀在不在我的掌控之中。」他说：「你们这些麻雀，死吧。」他这话一出口，那些在树上叽叽喳喳的麻雀，就像一块大石头一样全掉到地上，已经死了。他看着它们。他说：「主啊，我感激你。麻雀们，再唱起来吧，伟大起来。」所有的麻雀从地上飞起来，落在树枝上，又开始叽叽喳喳。他有了信心。我能做到这个，这就是我的力量。

After traveling a little while when sun was very high, he was feeling awfully thirsty. He saw a woman pulling water all the time, pulling water all the time and just throwing it. Pulling, throwing. Kabir had killed those sparrows and had given them a life. It was sufficient for him. He said, “O great lady, don’t you understand I am very thirsty?”

And it is eleven miles from here and you only performed this mystical four miles from this place. When I can reach this water at eleven miles, can’t I see you doing something at four miles?”

He said with such a divine love, now I can do anything anywhere, since that day this power has come in me. So I do anywhere any job when I feel like doing it. That is why when you came I saw you very thirsty and I wanted to give you water but I was doing my job first that I wanted the kitchen fire to be out and then I thought another chance will come to me so that I may see how much patience Kabir has got.

That is one doha Kabir said at that stage. This means, ‘Kabir, when I have sacrificed myself, when I have sacrificed myself and I have mingled myself with the divine power, then the love of the divine prevails through me in such a way that every job is being taken care of me so quickly that I even now cannot imagine why everything happened but first sentence has to be remembered. Kabir, Apna Mann Mariye – you have to understand one thing, the one who has created you is a superior power and one who can create me can create any circumstances. I don’t want you to have a blind faith.

那是 Kabir 在那个阶段说的一句 doha。意思是：「Kabir，当我把自己献祭了，当我把自己献祭了、把自己融入了神圣的力量，那么神圣的爱就透过我运作，每一件事都被照顾得那么快，连我现在都无法想象为什么一切都发生了，但第一句必须记住。Kabir，Apna Mann Mariye——你必须明白一件事，创造你的那位是更高的力量，能创造我的那位能创造任何境遇。我不要你有盲目的信仰。

I just want your mental attitude on one thought only that you are the creation of a Creator and if that Creator you just remember, everything about you can be taken care of. But the greatest difficulty in our today’s life is the tension. To and fro, to and fro, to and fro, there is a tension and today I am going to work on your physical level to see whether you can maintain that tension or not.

Take these, this fingers here, in yourself and make a U of these two fingers. That is your right hand. And keep the thumb of the right hand on your right nostril. Your right hand on your right nostril.

This state of mind which comes to you or you feel you are going deep into a state of mind, if this state of mind can be enlarged and you can achieve this Suksham Samadhi for a period of two hours or three hours, for forty days, then you can have a state of mind which is known as Kirt Samadhi. In Kirt Samadhi all actions of the past, present and future are known to man but still, that man will be walking, talking, dealing, doing everything. Knowing what is what he will not interfere but he can cause a cause which can have any effect which is possible. And that is the stage of a saint. Saints have this type of Dhian.

They may be talking to you, walking with you, living with you, eating with you but they may be at a absolutely a different stage with a different person and they may be involved under different circumstances. That is the stage in which they normally live. You may be very well feeling that well, he is talking to me, he is eating right opposite to my table and he is all concentrated with me, but lo, how mistaken you are, he is not with you at all. At the similar time, at thousand miles away that person is also involved with another person.

But the person who is involved at this stage in Los Angeles feels they are eating together, they are talking together, they are understanding each other but in that period he is only possessing that man physically, mentally the man has gone from the physical being miles away. And has done the job.

There is a third stage where people are involved with their own teachers spiritually. It is like a mother whose son has gone, committed a robbery, killed three people, taken a shower, taken a bath in a stream, changed his clothes, washed his hand and has come, ‘Mom, I was so eager to see you,’ and she will say, ‘God bless you my son, thank you, you have come.’ She will never interfere with that Karma and cause which has happened. Why? Question arises why.

And when your once mind will become clean and clear, you will be in a position to see everything in the world in that mind. Mind is like a mirror. And you can see in that mind anything and everything.

And this will never involve you on the basic material sense of a miracle. Therefore, it shall not also be a miracle. And you will never cause a cause for which you have to have an effect. And it will help another man because your answer will be more suiting and correct.
