So we thought two days after the class, you can talk to him; maybe your acting department can be corrected.

You are born as saints; beautiful, innocent children of God. You have come by the very will of God, you are made in the image of God. As you have developed or you grow, you have been exploited by two institutions, which was supposed to serve you: one is state, other is religion. They both put it together and with your power, with your belief, they created crusade and wars. When you say, 'I am Italian' you forget you are a human; when somebody say, 'I am German' you forget you are a person; so is the French, so is the English, so is the Norwegian.

Once I was asked, I have to deal with a person, because those psychiatrists used to study with me in the UCLA. So, one of that, student of mine send me a student, and the guy had a very strange problem: He will sit down, mind you, he was a Chief Executive Officer, rich businessman, everything fine—wife, children, take a thing, all was there. He'll sit down and count the grass on the floor.

Because he had everything done for him, he had nothing to do. And the creative intelligence, which make us from a child to grow to a man, is also responsible to make us old, sick, insensitive and destroy. God is three letters: generate, organize, deliver or destroy. So, there's no reason for you to disbelieve that nobody ever kills you, you kill yourself; nobody can make you rich, you make yourself rich; nobody can make you happy, you make yourself happy. Expand, elevate, your horizon will become big; you will know more, you will be happy. Contract, isolate, cry and die, choice is yours.

If you are old and you are not graceful, if you are graceful and you don't leave behind a legacy, your visit to planet Earth is useless, you mean nothing. Therefore, that is why we take that oath. YB: You know what that means? Beyond all these faculties, you will only give duty, as a teacher what it should be. Teacher is a forklift, who has to pick up the spirit of the person, raise it and let it go. Now, now you have liked me very much, right? Now we'll do what we have to do. Is it okay?

YB: Yesterday some of you started flying, that was not a intended thing. Yes, your body will become light like a air and you will rise from the earth, but why we want to do that? We want to enjoy ourself here.

Those of you who are born in the image, image of Almighty, may you develop in you the experience of that strength, courage and character, that you can see God in all, ever you feel or understand anything else. May your consciousness be pure and your character may be serving all where there is.

Mr. Pandit: I do not know if what I am going to say is wise. After listening to Yogi Ji, I am fully humbled. This is my third visit in about four year to Yogi Ji and the first, to a full-scale discourse and a spiritual discourse, as I have seen this evening. Then I must, I must confess that I am most impressed and influenced about what I have seen today.

Yogi Ji said that I am a journalist, I think you all know what a journalist means. He's basically a pen pusher, he writes two or three lines, corrects it many times, refers to any number of dictionaries and paraphrases, reads all kinds of articles written by others and then produces a piece and appends his name to it. So, being a journalist is not necessarily a qualification for speaking to all of you.

But as I was listening to Yogi Ji this evening, a thought struck to me, that since the source and the inspiration for what you have gathered here today and for the last so many days, is one or the other way, India and the teachings of the great Gurus of Sikhdom, something that has happened in the last four or five days in India and has become the dominant news last week, is perhaps a subject on which I may be able to speak a few words.

When you hear about it or read about it or when your relations, friends meet you and then talk to you and ask you that you know, you are inspired by some teachings from India; so how do you explain that a country associated with Gautam, Gautama Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and the great Gurus of the Sikhdom, has now joined the nuclear race and produced the weapon of greatest possible destruction. Is India then, really a source for any kind of inspiration for anybody?

Briefly, I'll deal with this. It is a fact that India has for last two thousand years, a tradition of peace and spiritual...spiritual subsistence. Buddhism went from India to Japan, to Thailand and to other countries of Southeast Asia. Even today, millions of Indians practice Buddhism. Mahatma Gandhi is a very revered figure in India and, and people like Martin Luther King who laid the campaign for equality, for the blacks in America, cited Mahatma Gandhi as his inspiration. The Japanese, who are the only people to have suffered from atomic bomb, have always looked to India, as a country of Mahatma Gandhi and of peace.

A number of Hindu religion-oriented movements in the world are fuelled by Indian thought. So, in this context, I am sure, one of these days you are going to ask yourself, 'how does India relate to the bomb? ' Does India have any right to talk of spirituality or has it forsaken the teachings of Buddha, of Mahatma Gandhi and of the great Gurus whose teachings Yogi Ji has been expounding to you all and with which, you all have been so impressed.

I personally do not think that India is departing from any of these spiritual legacies, but the world, the real world is little bit different than what we would like to believe. Most of you would know, that at the close of the Second World War, two bombs were dropped on Japan. There are many people in America as well as in Japan and the rest of the world, who felt that the Japanese and the Germans and the Italians were already defeated, and there was no need to drop the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

So, China on its own developed their own atomic bomb and a thermonuclear bomb, exploded them against the general opinion in the world; almost challenged the world at large and became a member of the nuclear club. Now, China is as large a country in terms of population or perhaps even bigger. It is a very powerful country; it is a neighbor of India. China and India have fought a border war.

Until a week ago, there were reports from Washington, from New York, from London, from Paris, that, that China and North Korea were supplying nuclear technology as well as missile technology to Pakistan, which is our neighbor, an immediate neighbor, with whom unfortunately India has had to fight three wars in the last fifty years. And this was in face of India's resolute decision not to conduct any nuclear test. But when Pakistan almost defied the world opinion and produced missile, fired, they test-fired missile, which could only be aimed at India. I think, India had no choice, but to reactivate its nuclear program and give a demonstration of the technical know-how that it possessed.

I do not think, that the world at large has understood what has really happened in India. I do not think and many writers from the west, have in the last two days also expressed similar feelings that India is going to threaten anybody or disturb peace in the world. In fact, what will happen in the next ten days, fifteen days or the coming months, is that India will take very active part, together with United States to sign a complete 'Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty' and plead as India has been pleading for many years, for the complete annihilation of all nuclear weapons in the world.

And we are very fortunate that we were consolidating on something universal and we want to know all the word, where it is. India is very unfortunate; it has to shelter Dalai Lama and Tibet on humanitarian basis. And China is the only threat we have, which doesn't want to give an inch to four million Tibetan refugees. Seeing their plight in danger, India was left with no choice to say, 'if you deal with us with negotiation, we can cross the table and we can discuss like friends; but if you start inhaling the population just like they are dust, you will be retaliated equally well. ' It may not be wise decision, but it is a honest duty of the host country to protect the refugees.

And they have let the world know, that they will do everything to prove honorable and protect those who have taken shelter. The most beautiful thing to rejoice today, this all has happened and we have just heard it. You all will be safe, let us care for our own atomic bomb in the tomorrow morning, get to our Sadhana.
