People started looking for something concrete, something positive, something real. They wanted to know if there is a soul where it is. They wanted to feel the soul, they wanted to exactly know the location of it. They wanted to know what they are talking about. But there was no answer for that if there is a soul where it is and when you cannot show or make somebody feel there is a soul why you are talking about it. So much so, somebody said to a very great teacher, “Holy sir, I have got two soles and they are right under my feet. If you cannot show me a soul, I am not going to believe you,” and he walked out of his gathering. That was a challenge which was very shaky.

Now these are the main branches of yoga, first is hatha yoga, which nobody knows and everybody practices. Hatha yoga nobody knows. Ha-tha, sun and moon energy, yoga means union. Now headstand is not a hatha. These are the preparations for hatha yoga. The eighty-four postures, twenty four Mudras, three Bandhas, these are all preparation towards hatha yoga and hatha yoga is a direct physical science, write it down so that tomorrow you may just not feel what was it. Hatha yoga is a science where directly moon and sun energy is united to raise the Kundalini. That is the purpose. It requires twelve years of Sadhana under a very well established knowledgeable Guru.

Now I am quoting the scriptures. But in the west hatha yoga has become little bit of postures, little bit of breathing exercises, and they feel that's all it is. The mental part which is a very important part, mind and breath is a very important part in hatha yoga, that has been forgotten, that has not been practiced and that is why hatha yoga has become nothing but a physical gymnastics. You have to go to the meaning, ha-tha these are two words, sun and moon. Yoga, yug, yoke, joining them, at Sushmana, which is the central nerve system and through the Pranayam that can be achieved and when that can be achieved, what is the end of it?

After that comes Raja Yoga. Raja Yoga is when under the guidance of a competent teacher you focus your mind energy on each center of consciousness and raise your level of consciousness by level and level to the perfection that your Kundalini can raise to the lotus of a thousand petals. Gian Yoga. Gian Yoga is, look at everything and bisect it and see the cause of everything which you see is nothing but God and concentrate on that. By virtue of that concentration you will develop a habit through which you will see God in everything and thus your consciousness will be raised to the highest, this is known as Gian Yoga.

Mantra Yoga which is a branch of the Laya yoga. Liv, Surth or consciousness, these are the three words meaning the same thing. One is a Sanskrit, other is a English. Liv, Surth or consciousness. That get merged with the universal consciousness with the power of the Mantra. When that happens all knowledge comes to that person. Now Mantra Yoga without Laya Yoga is incomplete, Laya Yoga without Mantra Yoga is incomplete and that is where we get caught. Mantram Siddhim, Siddhim Parameshwaram; if you perfect a Mantra you will perfectly reach God. There is no, no duality, that is the most powerful direct method. It has no duality. Nobody can challenge that.

But difficulty is, there are two views on that, Nirgun and Sargun. Now this is a dispute which has never been solved up to this day.

So He is just nothing, He is everything and He is nothing and actually you are nothing and when you reach the stage of the mind of nothingness then you reach God, otherwise not, otherwise you are attached and attachment is a weakness. Now this dispute is going on and it will continue.

Man has never tried to understand God is nothing but a universal consciousness or a universal mind. Nearer the God universal one is. He will never be a pusher. That is one quality which can tell a person what God consciousness is. When something will be pushed, then there is a ego involved in it. It is ego which pushes things. Personality cult is a ego cult. Personality cult is not a God cult. And that is where we get error and it is such a fine mistake, it is very… Finest instrument of the mind is unable to detect this mistake on the part of a Sadhik, a doer, a practitioner.

We get caught into this difficulty time and again, time and again, time and again, and that is the greatest weakness on the path of spirituality.

A true teacher must qualify these three stages. First is known as law of deliverance. He must attract a student, make him perfect and deliver him to the supreme consciousness (God). That is the first proof of his being a good teacher.

Second, law of sustenance. He must sustain the truthful teachings all the time. In other words, he must not hate his disciple or he must not kick him too much to one direction. He must sustain his neutrality under all circumstances. In other words, a true teacher should not get involved with the personality of his student. In other words, if the student is doing all right, it's okay. If he is not doing all right he should hit him back. And if he is doing wonderful he should appreciate him and tell him to do it much better.

第二，维系之法。他必须始终维系真实的教导。换句话说，他不能憎恨自己的弟子，也不能把他往一个方向踢得太狠。他必须在任何情况下都维系自己的中性。换句话说，真正的老师不该卷入学生的人格。换句话说，如果学生做得还行，那就行。如果他做得不对，就该把他敲回来。如果他做得非常棒，就该欣赏他，并告诉他做得更好。

Zar, Zoru, Zameen, Zar, Zoru, Zameen, these are the three powers on the planet. Earth has three powers, Zar, Zoru, Zameen. Zar means money, green energy. Yes, this is a power, next to, you must understand next to God this is a power. Exactly, next to God this is a power. Next to this the Zoru, the woman. Woman is a power. Woman has been used many times and history is there for you to read it and know it what the woman has done. Zameen; land, territory, the rights of territory that is also a third power. These are the three powers of Maya through which a man can be distracted from the path of truth and spirituality.

You will be surprised these are the three powers, Zar, Zoru, Zameen, which will come in abundance to a practitioner of Kundalini Yoga. All of three and it is a granted fact. And any attachment with anyone of it will fix him up. The magnetic field of that person who practices this science of yoga will attract all these three. It's a law of nature, it is not something that that poor man is doing. But that is what it is going to happen and if he can track his vehicle safe out of these three things, these three things will follow him like a windstorm. He will never feel the dearth of Zar, Zoru, Zameen.

But if he keep himself consciously away from all this he will be perfect. Because this is a very effective science of yoga in which you directly work. You blend your breath, you blend your mind and you blend your physical vehicle into one Kriya. All Kriyas blend all these three at the same time; that makes it Kundalini Yoga. You directly affect that dormant power in you and through the heat of that you melt down all the barricades and open up the channels. It's a direct action. That's what it is.

Now understand what Kundalini Yoga is. Kundal means lock, hair lock. When the hair lock has a curl in it they call it Kundal. Coil, in other words exact meaning of this is coil. Kundalini is a projective noun, it means that coiled, that coiled and put with a dash energy. If that coiled energy maybe joined, where? In your control centers, that is brain. And there is a seat of the soul, that is pineal gland. It is so simple, it is so scientific. If that coiled energy may be joined with the seat of the soul, that is pineal gland, what will happen? Then the awareness will be permanent. Why? Because when pineal gland secretes the brain cells never work less than twenty percent.

What is a meditation? That is also for this purpose. There are two master glands, pituitary gland and pineal gland and that is where the entire secret of the human mind is resting. Brain and mind are two different things, brain controls the wave and the messages of the mind.

Now hatha yogi says from the moon center in the head, from that arc, actually that is the pineal gland, that symbolizes it, from that arc constant nectar comes down, at the navel point there is a fire which burns it up. Now this is a symbolic simile. Reality is, the power of the navel point is totally blocked, it is covered, therefore pineal gland is not heated to work or to expand. But actually Parthahar means correctly substitution. When a thought comes, negative thought maybe substituted by a positive thought.

There is no such thing to concentrate. Through Parthahar you will normally get, through that substitution you will always get an aptitude to be positive. It is automatic. You have not to concentrate on anything. There is no such thing as concentration. When you will keep on substituting the negative thought with a equally positive thought, it will give you a aptitude to be positive. And when that aptitude to be positive will develop, it will give you a attitude to be positive, which you call meditation.

There is no such thing to meditate upon. You keep on whole life meditating on Shiva, if you get Shiva at all, catch me. I am not going to leave United States. I know that bogacity, I have done it for years and I know it doesn't work. Because I have done Tattva Siddhi. Tattva Siddhi is a black magic. I went crazy myself and I wanted to have it. You get occult powers through that. But that doesn't open your soul at all. It works for a time being and it makes you in the end very miserable. And when you get that attitude it will develop into a perfect behavior, which you call Samadhi.

Otherwise Guru goes to outhouse every morning, he eats the same food as you eat, he gets the same fever as you get, he has got the same house problem as you have, he has to pay the same bills as you pay. His car does not run without gas. Nothing happens special to him but for you, he is a help. Why? Because you have a mental subconscious faith. It is a help to your subconscious mind and that faith works faster. Therefore, they say faith moves the mountains, otherwise stones are heavier for a man. Exactly I give you another analogy.

If any person exist on the earth that is the Guru which can crack your ego all the time. If we want to define a word Guru in English, Guru is a individual with a ready hammer to crack the ego of the Sadhik. If you really write that you understand what Guru is. If Guru let your ego exist, either he is not a Guru or you are not his disciple.

Simplest way to get rid of a ego is to have a Guru. Simplest. Because you have a ego, give it to Guru and you are free. And when man is Guru, have a Guru and becomes egoless he is a God, his mind becomes universal mind. The only thing which blocks the universal mind and the conscious mind is the subconscious mind where the ego is struck. That is the source of ego, intellect; subconscious mind.

If he’ll pretend to be a saint, he will fall apart in the end. Moment he’ll find an opportunity of politics and this and that, he will jump into it. And that is very essential.

Suppose you have got a chunk of wood, you can burn with it, it will give you nothing. You can make coal of it, it will give you no price. But if you take that piece of wood and carve it down in such a way that it should look like an elephant, you know how much price it will give you? It will give you a price worth anything. But where is the power? Does the power lie in the wood? No. Does the power lie in those tools? No. Where is the power? Power in the cutting of the wood.

And that is what Guru does. Guru is a wood carpenter, wood artist who cuts down the wood and gives it a shape. Guru gives a shape. Therefore, Guru is a guide. He shapes the destiny of the mind to join with the conscious mind which is universal. When the conscious mind join with the universal conscious mind then the person becomes Guru and this happens with Gurprasad, with the help of the guide. But where is the difficulty in this whole game is? People become so attached to Guru, forget it. They do not become attached to the teachings of the Guru, they attach to Guru. If the wood becomes attached to the carpenter and do not let him cut it, when this, it is going to become anything? Nothing.

When your consciousness become aware of all your deeds, you are a part of the universal consciousness. Therefore, fear and love play the equal part. Fear and love plays the equal part. First you are afraid your Guru is going to hit you, that is how you restrain yourself from the bad Karma. And second you know your Guru will love you, therefore you do the good jobs. The balance between love and fear brings a man to a universal mind. That is how that (?) comes.

There are two wheels on which this universe is running, one is a wheel of fear, one is a wheel of love. Fear keeps you away from negative acts, love brings you to positive acts. Both are the forces. But love has been wrongly defined. You think the lust is love. Love is a selfless experience within oneself. Love is a stage of mind where one experiences selflessness. That is what love means. Love does not mean ‘Honey I love you, therefore you come in my quilt.’

Yeah. That is your love. That is not the real definition of love. You use love as a bait and one who uses love as a bait he suffers throughout his life. That is the curse. By deep meditation one can achieve everything but before that meditation can start one has to prepare himself physically for that meditation. Body is very important and the juice in the body is also very important. If you do not know how to generate that juice don't enter into the quilt every night. You are going to mess yourself up. That is the oil of the nervous system. That oil is very important. If you do not know how to generate it, then don't use it also. Otherwise you will fall short of the supply and you will suffer.

Some people just become disciple whole life. They waste their life. And you understand by learning and teaching at the same time one becomes a perfect Guru. You follow what I say? By learning at the same time and teaching at the same time one becomes a perfect Guru, therefore there is no requirement for waiting long time.

因此，今天要当学生的人，明天必须当老师，学生最终必须成为老师。弟子必须成为古茹（Guru），请别介意，也别再买别的什么了。有些人一辈子就只当个弟子。他们浪费了自己的生命。你明白，边学边教，人就能成为一位完美的古茹。你听懂我说的话了吗？边学边教，人就能成为一位完美的古茹，所以没有必要等很久。

One thing which is final I am going to talk to you today is when your mind will relate to the soul it will become universal, then your all desire will be pre-fulfilled. But when your mind will attach itself to the Tattvas you have to hassle to fulfill your desires. Whichever way you want to adapt it, fine with me. Now you understand what I am talking about? Because universal mind is the cause or the source of the entire creation. And in you it represents in the part of a soul. Mind is like a onion, it has layers and layers and layers, negative and positive. It, it is a equal blend. It is a energy. Physical vehicle has mind as energy, and soul as a guide.

You are going to end up having a sofa but in one way you have to have a double shift work, save the money and pay the installment and have a sofa. In other way, moment you need a sofa it will be donated to you. Why? The universal mind will go to another mind who can afford to give you a sofa and he says well, 'Yogiji, I thought you don't have a good sofa, I want to donate my sofa to you. ' What the poor yogi can say? No?

I wanted you to do a Sadhana to preserve in your mind energy of vibrating whatever you feel like. No. I wanted you to build a reservoir. It was a very honest bid on my part.

First by controlling it. But I have found myself some cases where I have seen people breaking this rule. I don't think that is very good. Self-deceit is a worst Karma. It does, it will not bother me, but it is my job to inform you this is not right for your interest.

The reason for telling you to go and have a dip in that cold thing is, you have the habit to live in a air-conditioned houses. So your nervous system does not have the proper weather conditioning. Bringing you out in the open and letting you live in the nature is to take you out of that atmosphere and in the morning when you jump into that canal the cold water, the cold water, you know what type of goodies you are attracting?

And to keep yourself emotionally balanced strong nerves are required. Also you will not catch cold when you will have a cold water and massage your body, rub it with a good towel and then take a blanket and come here for the jap, you will feel you are very hot and very healthy. But if you just come out of the tent and sit down here you are going to catch cold anyway. Secondly, I will also request those people who are assigned in the morning to do the Mantra they should just do it in such a hard way that people should sweat.

So these are the ten days in your one year for Sadhana, which you have adapted. We want to make it so beautiful to have maximum benefit out of it. And it is all in your interest, tomorrow you are going to be teachers, you have to go through all these Sadhanas, you will like your students to go through these Sadhanas, therefore basically you must go yourself through those Sadhanas and have the experience. Without experience you cannot sustain yourself.

When I saw people somewhere here playing ego games and all that kind of trips, majority is wonderful. I do not talk but don't misunderstand, I watch. I watch everything, every action of your I know, simply I relax. I want you to understand the final higher conscious state of a man is when he can share the experience of the truth with others. That is why I want you to have that experience of truth with you first.

When we call for food some people at that time are in the tent. When there is a time for Sadhana some people are doing something different, it may be little different than what you are supposed to do, but that little difference is happening why? Because your mind is not tuned into a particular organization way. It means you know the G, you know the D but you do not know the O. And when you write God with G, D, what it means? How it sounds? Gud? G and D doesn’t make the sound God. O the organization, the organic part of the God is very important. Destroy your negativity, generate all positivity and organize yourself, you will become a living God. Difficulty is I am not working for myself.

Therefore, I don't retreat and I won't let you retreat and you have not come here to retreat. You have come here to advance yourself and do it quick. I also can't wait. Therefore, we have to build our mind with that smooth stability that when you go back from here you are nothing but teachers. And between us there is only one link, that is love.

Regenerate yourself, renovate yourself, retreat yourself and become beautiful, because when you go from here you may have a soul in you and your mind may relate to that soul and if that is not going to happen, then you blew it and that's no good.

There is a Karma Yoga to be done. All those who are listening to me they must understand. Some are homesick within three days and blah, blah, blah. Some are laying their numbers, you know. They couldn’t (?) the fish, they know what bait they have to use. So they might be meditating on that.

这样我们才能知道，他们是谁，他们为什么不来，他们为什么没有来，原因是什么，然后你可以把这堂课讲给他们听。不是要把他们揍一顿，或者把他们扔进运河里。意思是，他们没能来，总归是有某个原因，所以他们不该，他们不该在不知情的情况下就走掉。帮助也是我们的责任。有些人可能病了，有些人得了花粉热，有些人得了精神热，你知道的，就是那种热。有些人三天之内就想家了，等等等等。有些人在留自己的电话号码，你知道的。他们钓不到鱼（？），他们知道自己该用什么饵。所以他们也许正在冥想那件事。

As many men are, so are the varieties. So majority of us are here for the knowledge and for the awareness, therefore we must do that and before we depart we will chant for few minutes.
