You want to change and I don't want to change. So, to cause adjustablilty. It's a heavy word, "adjustability," but it is politer and it make more sense. Yeah, what else?

Story telling is the most powerful, story telling and humor is the two way of communication where normally you don't get burned and have a loss. With a dog breath and they are locked. And majority of us in our unacknowledged and unaware life are talking like that.

You want to create a third thing called puppies. Otherwise if you really want to communicate, you will respect the other person and other person will respect you and there will be a lot of reverence.

First purpose of life is, this is how you write it down, first purpose of life is know where your honestly is. Second purpose is know where your heart is, third is know your head is and fourth you know your totality is. Honesty is a totality. You give yourself a part of you to somebody. You don't give your total self to somebody. Therefore, no relationship can be honest. And you are going to get a flashback and flack back and somebody's going to be mad at you because you are not honest to begin with. And you are not carrying your honest self to somebody.

人生的第一个目的，你就这样记下来，人生的第一个目的是知道你的诚实在哪里。第二个目的是知道你的心在哪里，第三个是知道你的头在哪里，第四个是知道你的整体在哪里。诚实是一种整体。你把自己的一部分给了别人。你没有把完整的自己给出去。所以，没有一段关系能是诚实的。然后你就会遭到反噬和回击，有人会对你发火，因为你从一开始就不诚实。你没有把自己诚实的那一面带给别人。

What happens through communication is that somebody's going to find your dishonesty later on. And you are the source of it. Somebody will, if you keep your mouth shut nobody will ever know what you are doing, but you cannot keep the mouth shut. You understand?

Because source of knowledge comes from you in bits and pieces, therefore there is a anger against you because you are not straight forward right out, come out like everything, and the other person takes long time to think about you and then they find out you are not trustworthy. This is how you lose trust. And that is how I gain trust in your hearts. I come right out, blow your mind, you never like it, you always avoid me, do everything. But I don't care. Whatever the situation is I come right out, put a big cannonball, boom! And he say, "Okay, what happened? What he did? What did he did?

He started bundling roll so fast that person, those flying Tibetans, you know? Flying Tibetans? They fly, they take about eighteen to fifty feet leap. They almost, you can't see them when they touch, they're very fast. They are the fastest.

That is exactly about spirituality. You are with a teacher. Teacher doesn't care. Because you must understand, to be a teacher is the most difficult job. Hardly you have met a teacher. When you lean on teacher for knowledge egolessly, then you have to be ten times better than him. There is no other way. It is natural way, it's a natural balance.

灵性恰恰就是这样。你跟一位老师在一起。老师不在乎。因为你必须明白，当老师是最难的工作。你很难遇到一位老师。因为老师，你对于老师来说，只是念珠上的一颗珠子。你不明白老师和学生之间的关系。老师允许你让你的小我存在，因为他就是那么自由。当你无小我地依靠老师求知识时，你就得比他好上十倍。没有别的路。这是自然的路，是自然的平衡。

But in your life, because some Western environments not to trust anybody, not to be with anybody, called freedom, call independence, call anything, you have a problem which is natural and which is abnormal. In this abnormal environments where we are, we have lot of bugs in our communication. Honestly we don't want anything. We want to be clear hearted, we want to be humble, we want to be great. What we want and what we are, that's a conflict.

但在你的生活里，因为某些西方环境教人不要信任任何人，不要和任何人在一起，叫作自由，叫作独立，叫什么都行，你有一个问题，它自然，又不正常。在我们所处的这个不正常的环境里，我们的沟通里有很多毛病。老实说，我们什么都不想要。我们想要心地清明，我们想要谦卑，我们想要伟大。我们想要的和我们实际是的，这就是冲突。

we don't want anything. We want to be clear hearted, we want to be humble, we want to be great. What we want and what we are, that's a conflict.

It used to be a gurushala. Gurushala was a state of mind where you go, you live there, you go through the discipline because you admired it and the teacher admired it and it used to be very perfect arrangement. from gurushala we got into the idea of a dharamasala. Dharamasala means a place where dharma was taught. So gurushala and dharamasalsa were almost one situation, kind of an institution. And finally when they both got together it was called ashram. And that's how things were.

它曾经是 gurushala。Gurushala 是一种心智状态，你去那里，住在那里，经历那套纪律，因为你钦佩它，老师也钦佩它，那曾经是非常完美的安排。从 gurushala 我们进入了 dharamasala 的概念。Dharamasala 的意思是教授正法的地方。所以 gurushala 和 dharamasala 几乎是同一种情况，算是一种机构。最后当两者合在一起，就叫灵修社区。事情就是这样。

Ashram everybody cannot open. Ashram is the privilege of a individual who undertakes to serve those who come to him in the Name of God. It's not a controlling factor, it is a serving factor. You serve these people and their destinies. You don't serve individual. Teacher never ever serves individual. Individual doesn't mean anything. Just another human body running around. It is the destiny which that body begot which has to be served to be fulfilled. Otherwise the body will meet the fate.

灵修社区不是谁都能开的。灵修社区是一个人的特权，这个人承担起以神之名服务那些来到他面前的人。它不是控制的因素，它是服务的因素。你服务这些人，以及他们的天命。你不服务个人。老师从不服务个人。个人什么都不是。只是又一个到处跑的人类身体。要服务、要成全的是那个身体所承载的天命。否则那个身体就会遇上它的命运。

But you know, we have to understand that we are, now, as relaxed you are, you should be as relaxed all the time. But it took us, what, we started about ten or eleven o'clock, something like, eleven o'clock something? And now it is four. Five hours. We took a rest in between but five hours. And now this, this, this is a good aura.

This is, this is something you can take it. I mean if some pressure comes and something upsets you, you can take it. Actually you should be all the time to take everything, filter it and give back the best thing. What is the best in you is your own honesty. There's nothing better in you or best in you than your own honesty. Sometime you are beautiful, you think you are beautiful, sometime you are professional, you think you are professional. Sometime you, you are so many things. But the greatest effective thing which you can transport and sell and give it, or gift it out, is your total honesty.

But suppose somebody gives me a beautiful sweet and on the top of it there is a dead fly, am I going to eat it? You know? First I'll say is a black pepper, but when I look and I see the wings, I'm going to say, "Wait a minute. "

But is being blasted towards you. There is a two way system, you know. You, you communicate, and you receive communication. And what happens is what you communicate and what you are being communicated, between the two, your computer in subconscious stored the memory and work out your patterns. And patchwork will never ever give you the satisfaction of you. and the best is not to do the patchwork, best is to hit right at the base and build it all the way up. But on the other hand, it will not be very good to expose it just like, "Come everybody and just have fun and whole day... " Some people even can't chant half an hour.

Now, there is a homework. And homework is, just for forty days form now, speak softly, medium soft. "Could you please get me a glass of water. " That's called medium soft. Harsh is, "Get me a glass of water, could you please? " When please comes later it is harsh. When please comes first it is medium soft. And when come, "If you, my dear, be pleased to get me a glass of water," it is soft. There are three ranges of the same thing. Purpose is to ask glass of water. But when you speak soft you are exalted. When you speak medium you are acknowledged. When you speak harsh, you are shitting at yourself. There's no better expression in English what I am telling you.

Anyone other than your spiritual teacher is not publicly morally authorized to raise a voice. Because we are only entitled to shout and yell and scream when we have to project and penetrate the aura, otherwise it's one of the most animal job a spiritual teacher has to do. Because when we have to break your arc and ego, and penetrate, then we have to play this badminton match, tennis, whatever you want to call it. You serve the ball really sharp and we serve back and you this and this and you this and this. It's called wrestling. It's not called communication, remember this. Embattled communication is not communication at all. So you are entitled to practice medium soft. You understand that?

YOGI BHAJAN: No, naad as a science is into the syllables and Gurbani is in sutras. So Gurbani has to be chanted in sutra, as ek ong kaar, sat naam, kartaa purkh, nirbhao, nirvair, akaal moorat, aajoonee, saibhang, gurprasaad. And one who does not chant in naad will chant, (he repeats it without rhythm and pauses.) Same words, same time, one is effective, one is just a excessive flow. Doesn't mean anything.

YOGI BHAJAN: No, no, you understand, we were doing the base work. Base work was we were opening up your naadees. We were opening up you base. We were allowing you, we were changing your chemistry. Let us put it that way. It was a very open, challenging thing to do. You were totally timed, you went through the process, and achievement was very surprisingly better. Achievement is about eighty percent. I've never seen so sincerely eager students...normally I started fourteen years ago, I had a lot of difficulty in teaching. And effectively, the sciences I teach are very effective. The idea is that person should be invincible. This is how I believe: good times and bad times are just times.

YOGI BHAJAN: Oh, Siri Guru Granth. If you really understand the meaning of Siri Guru Granth and sometime read about five pages of third Guru. If you ever want to abuse yourself you have not to go to anybody. Go to the third Guru and start reading Rag Maru. The music of death. He starts playing very well. Brings your ego to almost minus zero. The most beautiful poetry which hits right at the heart is third Guru. Very beautiful. I go through it my time, many times. In the utmost pain of my life I, I go through that bani. It's beautiful.

STUDENT: What's the best thing to do when somebody talks to you harshly?

YOGI BHAJAN: When somebody tells you harshly, all right, let us, has anybody - oh, you know how to speak harshly. You do it with your wife every day. Why don't you come on and be harsh with me and let me tell you... Oh, come on, come on.

So if you think all your life you have to have a scale to be always right, that's not true. Good times and bad times. Bad times and good times will continue. Question is who you are. If you are who you are and you come out to be who you are, you are, you did it.

所以如果你以为一辈子都得有一把尺子，永远正确，那不是真的。好时光和坏时光。坏时光和好时光会继续下去。问题在于你是谁。如果你是你是谁，而你活出来就是你是谁，你成了，你就做到了。
