Yogi Bhajan defined Spiritual Teacher in many different ways over the course of his 40 years of lectures. He emphasized the critical role of Teacher in a person's life, as well as the importance of recognizing the costs of the role on one's own karma as well as the nature of the role on other's destiny. Finally, he spoke of the limitless nature of the identity of Teacher and the infinity it embodies. He often said, "I did not come here to collect disciples but to create Teachers." It was his life's mission.
